Warranty & Repairs
At Totaalgereedschap, we only supply professional-quality tools. We want you to enjoy your purchase for years to come. That's why we have a clear warranty policy.
Statutory Warranty
All items you purchase from us are covered by the statutory warranty. This means that a product must do what you can reasonably expect of it. A product should not break prematurely with normal use. If an item breaks down due to a manufacturing defect within its expected lifespan, we will provide a suitable solution (repair, a new product, or a refund).
Manufacturer's Warranty
In addition to the statutory warranty, many items also come with a manufacturer's warranty. The duration of this warranty (often 1, 2, or even 3 years) is determined by the manufacturer.
- Please note: Many brands (such as Makita, DeWalt, or Bosch) offer an extended warranty if you register the product on their official website within 4 weeks of purchase. We always recommend doing this.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty is intended for material and construction defects. Damage in the following situations is not covered by the warranty:
- Wear and tear: Normal wear and tear of consumables such as saw blades, drills, chisels, carbon brushes, and batteries.
- Overload: Defects due to using the tool for purposes for which it is not powerful enough.
- Poor maintenance: Damage due to contamination, not lubricating parts in time, or incorrect storage of the machine.
- Incorrect installation or use: Damage due to not following safety regulations or the manual.
- Own modifications: If you or a third party has made changes to the machine or attempted to repair it.
Installation and Own Risk
Totaalgereedschap is not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect assembly or installation by the customer themselves. For stationary machines or complex installations, we always recommend following the manual carefully or engaging a professional.
Reporting a warranty claim
Is your tool defective? Please follow this procedure:
- Send an email to info@totaalgereedschap.com with your order number and a clear description (preferably with a photo/video) of the defect.
- We will assess your request and let you know whether the product needs to be sent in for inspection or repair.
